The photographic group beyond the gaze was born in 2016 from the common passion and live enthusiasm for the world of photography; initially the thought that pushes the four boys to commit themselves is to bring to Orio Litta a photography course, never carried out before.

The initiative is very successful and some of the course participants choose to join the group to share new activities and projects. In 2017 the calendar "12 months for Orio" was produced, which offers old photographs of the country revisited in a modern way, through careful post-production work.

In 2018 the still-life technique was deepened, and this new interest led the group to build a project that relates food with tools of ancient peasant use, to develop the theme of similarity. The project, “Mater Artium Necessitas”, presented at a summer event in the town, obtained a good result of visits and criticisms; hence the decision to propose the exhibition to a wider audience.

We are open to advice, new ideas and to collaborate with people like us who believe that there is always something to learn.
